Amarillo pavement guide
Inspect regularly and schedule work when the pavement shows the need.
Amarillo pavement is exposed to sun, wind, temperature changes, moisture, traffic, and dust. Different areas of the same property can age at different rates, especially near entrances, turning zones, drainage paths, and heavy-vehicle routes.
Periodic walkthroughs can catch open cracks, loose edges, standing water, potholes, faded markings, and surface wear before they become harder to manage. Photos taken from the same locations make changes easier to compare.
Maintenance should also be reviewed after repairs, utility work, sealcoating, tenant changes, or altered traffic. The schedule should respond to observed condition and the operating needs of the property.
Conditions worth documenting
- New or widening cracks
- Standing water and drainage paths
- Loose edges, potholes, or settlement
